Path to Glory 15

Path to Glory 15 has 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.

To complete this Path, you must:

  1. Gather 250,000,000 resources
  2. Achieve 100 Personal Feats
  3. Defeat 80 Alliance Raid waves

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  1. a 30 day speedup
  2. 30,000 Gold
  3. Embrace of Malevolence (Swordsman Attack +105%, Training Speed +32%, Healing Speed +32%, March Size vs. Encounters +22%)

For the 1st challenge, put your gathering gear on, set your talents, and go gather.

For the 2nd challenge, you have to:

  • fight encounters for the Legionary feat,
  • fight players for the Praetorian feat,
  • become the Emperor for the Basileus feat,
  • win an Atlantis event for the Conquistador feat,
  • Conquer regional capitals for the Conqueror feat,
  • Pillage enemy capitals for the Raider feat, etc.

There are 19 personal feats, which you can earn many times.  Go forth and achieve.

For the 3rd challenge, you need to attend Dark Citadel raids.  With reasonable gear, you should be defeating 13 waves each time, which means you need 7 DC's to achieve this task.  Which will take at least 28 days.
So make sure you leave enough time to be able to do this.

Many thanks to Marius Militaru who provided screen shots of the Path to Glory 15 tasks.

Path to Glory 14

Path to Glory 14 has 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.

To complete this Path, you must:

  1. Find 625 pieces of Champion equipment
  2. Incapacitate 150,000,000 units
  3. Finish in 1st place on 9 solo events

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  1. A Legacy Chest
  2. 30,000 Gold
  3. Dauntless (Swordsman Attack and Health +90%, Ranged Attack and Health +81%, Resource Income +67%, Faction Unit Training Speed +49%)

For the 1st challenge, gathering and adventures are the only way to go. Put your gather gear on, and use your equipment adventurers.

For the 2nd challenge, Dark Citadel raids, Barbarians, or Resistance Bases are your friend.  The Personal Mission's can also help.  These all have large numbers of troops to defeat. Personally I got mine done in 2 Dark Citadel raids, where I had to stop helping when we got to the Bronze chest in each one.  Both your rallies, and other players rallies count.  (It was about 30 raids in total that I participated in)

For the 3rd challenge, you just have to go hard at the events.  Check your old messages to see what the winning amounts were for various challenges.  Then make sure you have enough of what's needed (for Muster events), or with gather events, put all your gear, talents and bonus' into Gather mode, and go hard for the entire period.

To get 106M (which was the winning score on the last Muster event in Realm 23), you need 21.2M T5 units.  The resources for building 21.2M T5 Swordsmen is approximately:
12.5B Food, 22.4B Iron, 3.4B Wood, 960M Silver

Good luck.
Next Path to Glory update will be in very late December 2018 or early January 2019, as I have 27 days to go and 9 solo events to win.

Path to Glory 13

Path to Glory 13 has 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.

To complete this Path, you must:
  • Complete 250 successful spy missions
  • Complete 10 Travelling Hero challenges.
  • Reach 80 solo event milestones.

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  • a 100 point security bar refill.
  • 30,000 Gold
  • Glorious Cuirass (Swordsman Attack +90%, Faction Unit Health +60%, Training Speed +35%, Food Income +125%)

There is no preparation that you can do for the 1st two missions.
Try to complete the 1st mission in less than 10 days, so you have enough time to complete the last mission.
The 2nd mission will take at least 10 days, as you have to complete the entire travelling hero challenge each day to earn a point towards completion of the task.
The 3rd mission can be prepared for by saving lottery tickets, and encounter boosts etc. so you can complete the solo event's to the 3rd level.
Given that there are 80 milestones to achieve, you need to leave a reasonable amount of time to get this done.  There are usually 9 solo event milestones available each day, so it could be done in 9 days.
But that's really pushing it.  14 days is a much more likely time frame, allowing you to complete 2 solo events to the 3rd milestone each day.
That leaves you with about 6 days spare to cover weekends where there are less events, or days when you just can't get the 6 points.

Good luck.

Path to Glory 12

Path to Glory 12 has 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.

To complete this Path, you must:

  1. Complete 300 Adventures
  2. Defeat 400 Encounters
  3. Train 360,000 Faction Units

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  1. One 30 day speedup
  2. 30,000 Gold
  3. Serpent's Resurgence Ring (Sword Attack +94%, Ranged Health +59^, March Speed +17%, Squad Size +2%)

For the 1st quest, you should change your tavern's party to the members with Adventure Duration buff's.

For the 2nd quest, you will need Encounter Cooldown Decrease Bonuses, use them wisely during encounter events if you can.

For the 3rd quest, you need gold, or speedup's, and a LOT of resources.  You can start the training of Faction Units before you get to this quest, BUT they MUST finish after you complete quest 2, or they will not count.
Depending on your level of Promotion and gear, the amount of time and resources will vary.  If you can, try and get to Promotion Level 21, as this will reduce the resource costs needed.

With Promote 18, the cost will be about the following:
ResourceAmount
Food570M
Stone355M
Iron302M
Wood390M
Silver30M
Time666 days 1 hour
Gold173k to remove time constraints.

The Time and Gold costs are dependant on what gear your champion is wearing.  So make sure you have the right gear on at the right time.

Good Luck.

Path to Glory 11

Path to Glory 11 has 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.
This path is triggered by the completion or timing out of Path to Glory 10.

To complete this Path, you must:

  • Gather 200,000,000 resources
  • Complete 50 daily quests
  • Reach 60 Solo Event milestones

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  • 30,000 Gold
  • a 30 day speedup
  • Ice Hunters Boots (Siege Att and Health +115%, Spearmen Attack +80%, Healing Speed +18%, Trap Rearming Speed +73%)

For the 1st quest, you just have to keep gathering, it is as simple as it gets.

For the 2nd quest, you need finish 50 daily quests, there are 5 available each day, so this will take at least 10 days to complete.

For the 3rd quest, you get a point for each level of a solo event that you complete.  Each solo event has 3 levels, so you have to complete at least 17 solo events.  You don't have to win the event!

Path to Glory 10

Path to Glory 10 has only 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.
This path is triggered by the completion or timing out of Path to Glory 9.

To complete this Path, you must:

  • Find 500 pieces of champion equipment
  • Incapacitate 10,000,000 Units
  • Defeat 75 Alliance Raid waves

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  • Legacy Chest
  • 30,000 Gold
  • Dominant Force Spearmen Attack +150%, Cavalry Health +90%, Upkeep -10%

For the 1st quest, you just have to keep gathering, doing adventures (with the find equipment adventures in your party), attending DC's, or attacking active players.
For the 2nd quest, you need to hit about 60 level 6 camps, or about 40 level 7 camps.  Your milage will vary depending on the camp in question, and your troop profile.
For the 3rd quest, you just have to join as many DC's as possible, and take down as many waves as you can with your one rally.  (or pay gold for extra rallies)

Path to Glory 9

Path to Glory 9 has only 3 challenges, and 40 days to complete them in.
This path is triggered by the completion or timing out of Path to Glory 8.

To complete this Path, you must:

  1. Complete 200 spy missions
  2. Defeat 300 Encounter Camps
  3. Finish in first place on the Solo Event leader board seven times

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  1. 7 x 100 security point packs
  2. 30,000 Gold
  3. Viking's Bane Ranged Attack and Health +45%, March Speed +45%, Training Speed +45%, Faction Units' Health +15%

Not much advice on how to complete these.  You just have to keep doing the spy missions, with all the speedup gear that you have available.
And I completed the 1st two tasks in just under 14 days, without using any guardian passes to speed up the encounter camps.

Path to Glory 8

Path to Glory 8 has only 3 challenges, and 30 days to complete them in.
This path (and all ones after this) is triggered by the completion of the previous Path, or it's time elapsing.

To complete this Path, you must:

  1. Gather 75M Resources
  2. Incapacitate 5M units
  3. Win 7 Tournament Matches

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  1. 10,000 gold
  2. 1 x Resource Bundle III
  3. Moltenfire Boots (Ranged Attack +60%, Siege Machine Health +60%, Resource Reward +100%)

Finding an alliance that is running a Dark Citadel raid, and participating is the easiest way to achieve challenge 2.  Otherwise you will need to defeat a large number of Level 5, 6 or 7 camps.

111 has been renamed to 112.
PPG has been removed from the preferred gathering list, which is now just OZY, OZ2 and OFS.

How to join a Dark Citadel rally

Joining a Dark Citadel Raid.
1st Select the Alliance from the bottom menu (shown below with a 1 against it as there is a rally being setup) icon
Bottom Menu

2nd Click on the Warfare button
Alliance Menu

3rd Choose the rally that you are going to join.  There may be more than one.
Rally Selection

4th Join the rally.  You may have to scroll down a bit to find a slot.  There are a maximum of 20 slots.
Join the Rally

5th Add your troops.  You should contribute at least 1/20th of the rally size.  For larger rallies that is going to be 150,000 troops or more.
When you add your troops, it may cause the position of troops to move.  You can NOT select where your troops go.  It's all automatic.
You just click on the troops that you want to add, from you troops that are along the bottom of the screen.  Using Auto Deploy will select the BEST troops you have, which is probably not what you want.  You are better off selecting each type, and choosing the specific tier of troops to send.
Select your troops

6th Joining the rally is the last step.  Check the time needed to get to the castle that called the rally to make sure that you will get there in time.

Please note that in the following image, the numbers of troops for some of the types has increased.  This is the troops that have been added (by you or others).  And the Siege troop type has been selected to enable selection of the appropriate tier.
Joining Rally
In this case it would have taken 14 seconds for the troops that I added to reach the rallying castle.

Path to Glory 7

Path to Glory 7 has 4 challenges, and 30 days to complete them in.
This path is triggered by completing your castle upgrade to level 30.

To complete this Path, you must:

  1. Research 5 Level V in the academy
  2. Win 2 Tournament Matches
  3. Gather 20M Resources
  4. Finish in first place on the Solo event leader board, twice

Your rewards for completing these missions are:

  1. 5000 gold
  2. 1 x Tournament Entry
  3. 1 x Resource Bundle III
  4. Cunning Mace (Ranged Attack +30%, Spearmen Health + 25%, Faction Attack and Health +25% and Army Attack and Health +10%)

Due to the research requirements some resources are needed to complete the building of your Academy to level 30.
You need to upgrade a Lumber Mill, Stone Quarry, and Workshop to level 30, before you can do the Academy.

Using a region with Investment Focus, will reduce the time, and therefore Gold and/or Speedups.
Make sure you use you best build and research gear.
Good luck when you get there.

Autumn Season and Lightning

Ok, so it's nice to have a change of seasons.

But do we really have to have lightning strikes every 20 odd seconds?
Lightning Strike fading out

They distract from the game and are visual pollution (in my view).

Names and times hidden to protect the innocent.

The next Path to Glory information will be coming soon.  I've started the build for Castle 30, so will have the information soon.

Rules Update

OZY's rules have been updated again.
NTA, XXG and fun have been placed on the do not gather list.
R23 has been removed from the allowed list.

This is to avoid an unproductive WAR with NTA/XXG, and to maintain our alliance with fun (who are not allowed to gather in OZY's regions either.)

Maintenance in the middle of Dark Citadel

So we were in the midst of rallying the OZY Dark Citadel, and the following comes up:

I wonder what state my shield will be in when the maintenance ends.
A visitor had just stated in the Alliance Messages, that they couldn't change their shield.

Path to glory 3

This path is the one that starts at castle level 10.
You have 7 days to complete it.
There are 5 things to do, which gives you 5 prizes.

What to do:

  1. Gain 750 social points
  2. Trade 54,000 resources
  3. Research 5 technologies from Era II
  4. Gather 450,000 resources
  5. Reach 2 Solo Event Milestones
The 1st one just needs an active alliance, with people asking for help.
The 3rd one needs some time, but the researches are all less than 5 hours long.
And the 5th one can be done in a single event if you reach the 2nd stage, or two separate events with the 1st stage.

What you get:

  1. 50,000 experience points
  2. 1 x 25% gathering speed boost
  3. 750 gold
  4. 1 x 24 hour peace shield
  5. Liberator Boots (+15% March Speed, -20% Upkeep, +1 Scouting Level, +15% Army Attack)

Tuesday, 13 March 2018

Path to glory 5

You have to do the following missions:
This path is triggered by getting you castle to level 20.

  1. Hire two spy agents
  2. Five Research from IV era
  3. Complete 5 spy missions
  4. Gain 5000 social currency

And you get:

  1. Large vigor flask (100 points for spies)
  2. 3000 gold
  3. Full security pack (100 security points)
  4. Outlaw Helm (+20% spy experience, +5% spy speed, +5% spy success chance)

The first one needs a lot of resources, so plan for it.  The following is what is needed resource wise to get from level 0 to level 10 of the dungeon.

  • Wood = 18,466,310
  • Stone = 26,806,151
  • Iron = 31,592,413
  • Food = 18,147,730
  • Silver = 2,370,842

To do the researching you need to upgrade your Academy to level 20.
You have to upgrade your Lumber Mill, Stone Quarry and Workshop to Level 20 first.
About 2M of each resource needed for this (Food Stone, Wood, and Iron)
Minimum time is 37 days for the research, if you have NO gear or talents.  Best to set your gear and talents to reduce the time.
And you will need speedups.
You will need a couple of million of silver and about a million of other resources for the research.

Planning is the key.  Have the resources and speedups available and this is a piece of cake.
Oh, and be in an alliance where there are lots of tasks setup, and people asking for help.

Sunday, 11 March 2018

Path to glory 4

You get 7 days to complete this path.
This path is triggered by getting your castle to level 15.
There are 5 steps in the path:

  • Train 200 faction units
  • Promote faction units to level 3
  • Research 5 technologies from Era III
  • Complete 5 daily quests
  • Incapacitate 1,200,000 units
For all this you get:
  • 1 x 8 hour speed up
  • 900 royal lottery tickets
  • 1,500 gold
  • 1 x 24h peace shield
  • 1 x Shining Grips (+50% resource income, +35% attack and health vs encounters)

Before starting this path, you should already have your Academy upgraded to level 14.

Upgrade your Royal Barracks to the level which allows 200 faction units to be trained in one hit, as the lower levels are cheap and fast to upgrade, then train your faction units.

You should get your Academy upgraded to level 15, whilst you are promoting your faction units, so you can start on the research.  The research is the task that takes the most time.

You will need about 1M of each resource type to be able to upgrade your faction units to level 3.

You can start the research BEFORE the task becomes available, which speeds things up.
Although you used to be able to complete research and faction upgrades before the task, reports below indicate that this is no longer the case.  You should still upgrade your academy, but don't start the research until the task is available.

For the 1.2 million units, encounter camps are the best way of doing this.  Or participate in a Dark Citadel if there is one available at the right time.  It seems like a lot, but it is possible.
The more time you leave to finish this task the better.

(Edited to note not to start research and faction upgrades until the task is available)

R23 gathering rules changed

Well, it's been an interesting day.
We now have the gathering agreement back in place with R23.
And we have agreement that tiles in the following regions can also be gathered:

  • Levermere
  • Painshagg
  • Lyngingford
  • Caercott
  • Mount Noraman
  • Drumington
  • Dalenford

Thursday, 1 March 2018

Rules update

The rules have been updated.
123 has been renamed, and we no longer have a gathering agreement with them.
If any R23 players are seen gathering in the OZY regions, then send a PM to OZY's leader, about which R23 member, and where.
They will let R23 know, and R23 will deal with the rule breaker.

The same applies to us. If R23 see's an OZY member gathering in R23, then they will inform OZY's leader, who will initially demote and warn the OZY member, and if they offend again, kick them.

Path to Glory 6

If you happen to be interested in what Path to Glory 6 is...
This path will be triggered by your castle reaching level 25.
You have to complete 4 separate tasks in 15 days.
1. Epic Encounter Attack Boost
2. 100% Gathering Speed Boost (8 hours)
3. 24 hour Speed Up
4. Legendary Rhenium Armour. (30% Construction speed, 20% Research Speed and 15% training speed)

To complete this Path, you must:
1. Defeat 25 camps (of any level)
2. Trade 3M
3. Enter the Royal Lottery, once
And finally
4. Upgrade your castle to Level 27.

The final task is the difficult one, and you really should plan for it.
To complete you will need:
One of all buildings as Level 24 (excluding Storehouse, Embassy, Dungeon, Royal Barracks and Wall)
Gold.  At least 15k of gold, or a lot of multiple day speed ups.
At least the following resources.
44M Food
40M Wood
53M Stone
74M Iron
0.2M Silver

Using a region with Investment Focus, will reduce the time, and therefore Gold and/or Speedups.
Make sure you use you best build gear.
Good luck when you get there.

Dark Citadel Raid

OZY are planning their next Dark Citadel raid for Monday the 12th of February at 7pm Sydney time.
Applications to the alliance to join for the DC will be accepted.

Tuesday, 30 January 2018

Rules update

All,

I have added two new rules, which are:
9 - Do not tile attack
10 - 1st arrow wins (don't race to a tile)

Tile attacks are regarded by most as very poor form, and are to be avoided.  They are the leading cause of alliance war in the game, and not fun for the rest of the alliance.  (we get hit enough by jackals).

1st arrow wins, means that when you are looking for a tile to gather, if there is already an arrow heading for it, then don't try and gather it.
This applies to all types of tiles, gold, pristine or normal.

Have Fun.

Rallying and staying sort of safe

The following is what I have found to work when rallying, be it RvR or Conquest events.
There are a number of things that you can do before hand to reduce the loss.

You have to assume that you will get attacked, because you are not shielded, so plan for it.

Planning steps:

  1. Turn on a Protection Boost, which will protect 50% more of your resources
  2. Spend all your resources above your protection cap, or trade them to silver, and upgrade some local buildings, or give them away to alliance members, unless you are happy for someone else to steal them.
  3. Setup you champion gear to be as strong as possible with siege machines.

Pre Rally Steps:

  1. Work out you rally time.  5 minutes is preferable, as it reduces the time you will be unshielded.
  2. Locate some resource tiles, which are at least rally time + 5 minutes walk time away and have at least the number of marches you have on the screen at the same time, and bookmark them.
  3. If someone else is unshielded, get them to scout the target to see if there are opposition troops in it.
  4. For Conquest events, do not attack normally friendly alliance capitals with troops, as you are killing off a friends troops.

Rally Steps:

  1. Call your rally, putting as many siege machines as possible into the rally.  Add some other troops to protect the catapults if there may be troops there
  2. Jump to your bookmark
  3. Gather using as many troops as you can on each resource tile.
  4. If you want to scout, then you will have to leave at least 1 march free to do the scouting
At this point, your troops in the rally are safe from anyone that attacks your castle.
Your gathering troops are in transit and can't be attacked until they arrive.
You could now scout (if you have a march left), to check if your target has troops, or other targets have troops.
I strongly suggest that you scout just before your rally leaves, so you can make sure the target hasn't been reinforced when doing RvR.

Post Rally Steps:
  1. When your troops are about to leave for the rally, you can recall your gathering troops.  This requires a bit guess work, as you want your gathering troops to get back to your castle just after the rally troops arrive at the target capital.
  2. When the rally troops arrive at the target capital, and succeed (or fail, but hopefully not), you can then turn an 8hr shield on

At this point, you return to Rally steps, and go again...
Good Luck.

Ever wanted to know how to change your castle name?

1. Click on the castle symbol in the bottom left corner of the game

2. Click on your castle name in the top left corner of the game

3. Purchase a Player Rename (if you don't already have one)

4. Enter your new name
(Sorry, no screen shot of that as I didn't want to spend the gold to get a screen shot)

Welcome

Welcome to the OZY Alliance Blog site.
Here you will find posts about what is going on, and pages with the rules that apply to the alliance.
